I've had several of their doctors here. I had Dr. Mirachi, Dr Zimmerman, Dr. Brier, Dr Tindel, Dr. Vapoor, Dr. Gluck and now Dr. Carla Dente. Some of their doctors are hospitalists. Meaning they work out of the hospital and nursing homes. I was in the hospital for a whole year. I went thru rehab inpatient and outpatient. I'm very happy I had Internists Of Central Pa. They were with and for me 100%. I have nothing bad to say about the Drs. I had. They have many Drs. and accept patients! It's a large organization.If you need a Dr. they do take new patients and are open on a Saturday for new patients only. You can find a Dr. here you will be comfortable with. They are very busy. Appointments on average run half an hour wait time or more. It's worth it when you know they know what they are doing. Try them. You'll find a match! I did!
Honestly no idea how they're rated 4.4 stars. Every single experience I have had here has been terrible. Communication is rude and impersonal. Secretary is completely unaware and vacuous in general. Though patients are able to be seen and secretaries are working on the weekends, you can't make an appointment, -and if you call between 12 and 1:20pm on any given day you will be scolded for calling during lunch break. Call back at a time that's more convienient for them. While I'm at it, the hold music for the office (which you will become very familiar with) sounds like a broken music box attached to an amp that's turned up too loud. The only good thing about this place is that the nurses who draw blood in the lab are amazing sticks.
Have been a patient here for years & just within the last year I get a knot in my stomach when I know I have to call for an appointment or request a refill. First of all, you're lucky if you can even schedule an appt. without being told to call back another day...that is, if you even get to speak to an actual person. Nine times out of 10 you are leaving a msg., hoping someone will call you back but normally they don't, so you're left to call day after day on your lunch breaks hoping to finally get the real life person on the phone. The support staff are rude, & could care less about you. Their bad attitudes come thru over the phone. I'm on day three of trying to get the correct med called in to the pharmacy, since the one that was sent was incorrect and not what was requested. Doctors are great, the support staff sucks. Go elsewhere, where the staff doesn't clearly hate their jobs & the people they are supposed to be helping.
Have waited weeks for "Alex" to get my prescriptions called in. In one case, my diabetes medicine was called in twice by my pharmacy asking them to expedite the request. A month later, it still had not been called in and I had to get my endocrinologist to do it.
I had to get copies of my medical records very quickly for an insurance app, and Tamara, who was at the front desk, was inundated with people as soon as I had asked for her help. She had said she would help me, but as I watched one after another person streaming into the door, I figured it would be a long wait, and I might need to remind her. Well, she's a marvel at multi-tasking - was polite and efficient with everyone, and even got my paperwork ready for me in the midst of that rush! I hope the office appreciates her.
