So polite and helpful. Helped me with my tire and gave me a free estimate on work. Not only filled my tire with a cracked valve that Monro refused to look at, but gave me a piece so I could fill it myself until I could get it fixed. Did it all fast and for free. A week after owning the truck I had a problem. The truck only had 20K miles on it so I called the service dept. to get the truck looked at. The service dept. as very friendly and knowledgable. The service advisor was very friendly. I said I would be back in about an hour and the truck was ready! This blew my mind. Paperwork was done and the truck was cleaned. LB Smith took care of the bill when they didn't have to. I had a bad temp sensor. An experience like this shows what a dealership is made of. After the sale the support was there and they took care of me with a smile. I will be back in the future for my next vehicle purchase.
I have had two horrible services with LB Smith. The first one was in Dec 2016. I scheduled a state inspection. Without asking to change the oil, they changed it and of course charged us for it. My husband changed it before taking my car in. The oil would have looked clean when thy checked it. During that service, they noted my battery was in good condition. If it was in good conidition, then why did I need to get a new battery in Feb 2017. After I purchased the new battery, my car was not working properly. It turned out to be my alternator. I took my car to LB Smith. They quoted us $1600 for an alternator. My husband told them that was outrageous. It’s a $200-300 part. With labor, it should be less than $1000. Granted, we did get the price down to $800. Unfortunately, a few months after my new alternator was put in, my headlights kept going in and out as well as the battery, which was the new one, would not hold a charge. We kept thinking it could be the transmission. We decided to wait for the next inspection to see what the problem was. We currently have my car at another dealership for inspection. Guess what, the alternator that was put in was BAD! LB Smith put a faulty alternator in my car due to telling them the price of $1600 was too high for an alternator. Even a person at the other dealership told us that $1600 is too high for an alternator. Apparently, alternators have a two year warranty. Did LB Smith tell us that...HECK NO! Please be cautious of LB Smith and do research on how much things actually cost.
